Jealous Much

Jasmin, Chris and Barclay were at McDonalds grabbing breakfast for themselves and the boys before they go to the studio for the day. Jasmin worked as the boys Personal Assistant. Her job was to make sure that they are well taken care of and they reach on time for shows, interviews etc. She got the job because she was Chris’ best friend. They have been best friends since kindergarten. They have seen each other through thick and thin, relationships gone bad, failed auditions, practically everything. She clicked very well with the other boys too. When she found out Chris joined a boy band she was ecstatic. They didn’t win X factor but were lucky enough to get a record label. That’s when Jasmin got the job. Ever since Jasmin became the boys PA, Barclay and she have become really close. He is like her new best friend, but no one could take Chris’ place.
While they were waiting for their order Barclay and Jasmin were having a little chat while Chris was on his phone.
“So Tom said to the interviewer, ‘if you were a burger at McDonalds you’d be a Mc Gorgeous,’” Barclay said and Jasmin started to laugh.
“Oh my God, that’s a 99p joke,” Jasmin said with tears in her eyes.
“That’s what we all said,” Barclay told her laughing even louder and putting his arm around her shoulder.
They heard a scoff coming from behind them. They turned around and saw Chris looking mad.
“Could you guys not embarrass me so much? You’ll are too loud. People are staring,” he said gritting his teeth.
Jasmin looked questioningly at Chris and asked, “Who pissed in your milk this morning?”
Chris just rolled his eyes and walked out to the car. After a few minutes molly and Barclay joined him. The car ride was silent, in an awkward way. Jasmin was worried about Chris who still looked mad. When they reached home Barclay and molly carried everything to the kitchen but Chris didn’t help. He went straight to his room.
“Hey Jasmin? What’s wrong with Chris?” Barclay asked.
“I don’t know Barclay. I'll go talk to him,” she replied.
She went upstairs and found his door locked. She knocked once but there was no answer. She knocked again and this time Chris said, “Go away. I don’t want to talk to anyone.”
“It’s me,” Jasmin said, hoping he’d let her in.
“I especially don’t want to talk to you,” Chris said loud enough so that she can here.
“What did I do wrong? Why are you acting like this?” Jasmin asked. She was really upset.
“WHY DON’T YOU ASK YOUR NEW BOYFRIEND,” Chris screamed.
“I don’t have a boyfriend. Who are you talking about?” Jasmin asked trying to keep her cool.
She could here shuffling and then the door slammed open. “YOUR NEW BOYFRIEND, BARCLAY. DON’T LIE TO ME. I SEE THE WAY YOU LOOK AT EACH OTHER. THE WAY HE MAKES YOU SMILE. DO NOT TELL ME HE IS NOT YOUR BOYFRIEND,” Chris yelled in her face and molly took a step back. She was taken aback by his outburst.
“BARCLAY IS NOT MY BOYFRIEND. WE ARE JUST FRIENDS. AND EVEN IF WE WERE DATING WHY DO YOU CARE?” Jasmin screamed back.
Chris looked at the floor with tears in his eyes and said, “If you don’t know why I care there’s no use having this conversation,” and he ran down and out of the house leaving Jasmin speechless.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It’s been a week since Chris and Jasmine had their fight. He won’t talk to her and won’t even look at her.  Jasmin cried herself to sleep every day for the past week. The other boys knew something was wrong because Chris and Jasmin could never go so long without talking to each other. Neither Chris nor Jasmin told them about the fight. Because she was the boys PA she saw then everyday so it made things difficult. Chris never listened to her when she asked him to do something. He purposely made her job difficult for her. Jasmin had had it with his shenanigans.
One day all the boys were eating breakfast and she had something to say to them. She went to the boys and said, “I quit.”
They all stared at her. “WHAT?” Charlie screamed, “You can’t quit. You’re the best assistant we have ever had,” Tom added.
Jasmin sighed and said, “I’m sorry guys. But I’ve been having a lot of problems from some of you’ll these days and it’s getting too much for me. I think its best if I leave. I am going to speak to your management today.”
The boys glared at Chris because they knew it was his fault she was leaving. Jasmin went to her room to start packing her stuff. Living with the boys was amazing but she felt that if her best friend wouldn’t want her here why should she stay.
“Can I come in?” she heard someone say. Of course shed recognize that Irish accent anywhere.
“Oh so now you want to talk to me,” she said spitefully.
Chris closed the door behind him and walked towards her. He held her arm and pulled her towards him. Jasmin looked at her feet. She couldn’t bear to look at him anymore.
“Please don’t go,” Chris said, “we need you here. I need you here.”
“No you don’t Chris. If you did you would not have treated me like you did this week. I’m your best friend,” Jasmin said while letting her tears fall freely.
 “Maybe I don’t want you as a best friend anymore.” Chris aid softly.
When Jasmin heard this she cried harder and pushed his hand off her but he held her again.
“Maybe I want you as a girlfriend. I’m in love you Jasmin. Cant you see that?” Chris said.
“You what?” Jasmin asked with a small smile.
“I want you as my girlfriend. I want you because I love you. I have been in love with you for so long. Seeing you with Barclay that day made me mad. I thought you liked him and I wanted to be in his place. I’m sorry if you don’t feel the same way,” Chris whisper-yelled.
Jasmin smiled and said, “You silly goose. It’s always been you. I’ve always loved you,” and she kissed him.
“So you won’t leave?” Chris asked eagerly.
“You won’t get rid of me that easily,” Jasmin said and kissed him again.
