“Can I help you,” Shazeena said looking up at the brown haired stranger who had bumped into her while she was shopping.
“Actually yes. Do I know you?” he asked.
She scanned his face trying to figure out if she knows him.
“No. I’m afraid we have never met,” Shazeena said.
“I’m very sure I have seen you somewhere,” the man said rubbing his chin.
Shazeena kept her cool and said, “You must be mistaking me for somebody else because I don’t know you and I have never seen you before.”
“Maybe you’re right,” the man said.
She turned to walk away when he said, “My name is Tom, if you were wondering”
She sighed and turned around and said, “Nice to know.”
She was going to walk away again when Tom said “aren’t you going to tell me your name?” he said while getting a hold of her hand.
“Why should I?” Shazeena said letting go of his hand.
“Because I told you mine,” he said smiling with his dimples showing.
Shazeena was a girl who loved guys with dimples so she almost gave up,
But she tried hard and kept her ground and retaliated back saying, “I never wanted to know your name.”
Tom’s smile faltered a bit but he didn’t give up. He wasn’t going to let such a beautiful girl like her slip out of his hands.
“At least tell me if you would like to go out for coffee sometime?” he said.
She stared at him and said, “Why should I go out with a guy I don’t even know?”
He smiled again and said, “You should go out with this guy because he just lied to a girl telling her that he knows her just because he thought she was really beautiful.”
Shazeena laughed and said, “You’re weird and cute. But how do I know you’re not some creep?”
Tom replied “that is a chance you’ll have to take.”
Shazeena shrugged and said, “Fine you win”
She took out a piece of paper and a pen and wrote down her number and address, “pick me up at six and don’t be late. I hate latecomers.”
Tom did a cute little victory dance then said “but I still don’t know your name?”
Shazeena laughed and said, “It’s Shazeena.”
Tom smirked saying, “well Shazeena I think you and I are going to be together for a very long time.”
