Thank You Bruno

Amy was on her way too the park when she saw a dog running up to her. It jumped in her hands and started licking her face. She was laughing and trying to get the dog to stop when someone said, "Sorry about my dog, I think he really likes you."

When she turned to see who it was she saw that it was Reece Bibby from Stereo Kicks.

“Hi I’m Reece and that’s my dog, Bruno,” he said.

At that moment the dog jumped out of her hands and ran to Reece.

“I know who you are. I’m Amy. I’m a big fan of your band,” she replied

Then he asked her “where are you going?”

She replied, “To the park”

“Mind if i joined you?” he asked.

 She just shook her head as a gesture that it was fine so he accompanied her. While they were walking and talking Reece met some fans and they started asking him questions like, ‘is she your girlfriend?’ or ‘How long have you been together?’ Reece just brushed off these questions and Amy was blushing like crazy. One particular fan said, “You know you’ll make a great couple.  You’ll look cute together. Are you sure she’s not your girlfriend Reece or are you hiding something?”

Reece replied by saying, “No she isn’t my girlfriend, but i want her to be even though I just met her.”

Amy didn’t hear this because she was playing with the dog. And someone said, "Just go tell her. She seems like a great girl and if she’s a fan she will be really happy."

Reece took this advice went to her and said, "Hey Amy I know we just met but do you want to go out sometime?”

She just nodded not trusting her voice. When Reece went back to his fans Amy kissed Vruno on the nose and said, "Thank you so much for jumping on me, Bruno. Without your help I would have never met Reece. You're the best dog ever."

Coldplay Concert

It was not a normal day for Lucy, reason, because she was going for her first Coldplay concert. She was super excited and also super nervous. Nervous because she also got backstage passes to meet them.

After the concert was over she went backstage to meet them. But to her surprise not only did she see Coldplay but eight other guys too. But there was one who caught her eye. He was tall, lean and had really amazing hair and the most gorgeous eyes. She went and asked the band for their autographs and made small talk with them and the eight other guys and found out Mr. Perfect Hair’s name was Charlie and the rest of the guys were his band mates. They were called Stereo Kicks. She’s heard of them and remembered seeing them on the X Factor. That’s why they looked so familiar.

Charlie took out a piece of paper from his pocket and scribbled something on it then gave it to Lucy. It was his number when she saw this she started freaking out and started blushing. Lucy was so embarrassed she covered her face with her hands.

But Charlie said, "A beautiful girl like you shouldn't cover her face when she is blushing." Lucy couldn't believe it.

‘Did Charlie just call me beautiful?’ she thought.

And like he could read her mind he said, "Yes i did just call you beautiful.”

The next day Lucy decided to call him. But she didn't know what to say. When he answered she didn't have to say anything because he knew it was her. They used to talk like this everyday and finally he asked her out on a date. He took her to the beach where he asked her to be his girlfriend and she said yes. That was the start of your beautiful and long relationship with him.

Time

*Rebecca's POV *

James and I were sitting on the couch in front of the TV on a lazy Sunday morning. He just got back from his X Factor Tour and I had been looking forward to spending some quality time with him. I met James on the day of his X Factor room audition. I was there to support my best friend, Cynthia, and I fell in love with his voice when I first heard him. Cynthia didn’t make it past boot camp but she did introduce me to James before she was eliminated. James and I been dating for seven months now and he still hasn't said the 'L' word to me yet. I told him that I loved him a few weeks back but he told me he wasn’t quite there yet and still needed time. I’m scared that he’ll never have that same feeling for me. How long does it take for someone to fall in love?

I was parched and was about to get a drink for myself when James got a hold my hands, looked me straight in the eye and said, "I love you."

I was shocked. I wasn't expecting that. But woohoo.

He continued speaking, "I love everything about you.  Your laugh, smile, hair, personality, everything. I’m sorry it took me so long but I needed to make sure that you were the one."

“And are you sure?” I asked him.

“100% sure,” he said, as he cupped my cheek with his hand.

I smiled at him and said, “In that case, I love you too"

He laughed and kissed me. We continued enjoying our lazy Sunday.

Christmas Fall

“Casey, pass the star please,” Sammie asked her boyfriend. They were getting ready for Christmas. Right now they were putting up the Christmas tree and only the star was remaining to be put up. It was a beautiful and big star made out of glass that Casey’s mum had given them.

“You know I should be the one putting up the Christmas tree. Not you,” Casey told her, “The tree is too high. If you fall you could hurt yourself pretty badly and we wouldn’t want that to happen now would we?”

Sammie was on a ladder finishing the top part of the Christmas tree. The ladder was a bit shorter than tree so it did not reach all the way on the top.

“Calm down babe. I’m not going to fall,” Sammie said as she took the star from Casey’s hands.

She leaned forward to try and reach the top of the tree to put the star when she lost her balance. She slipped from the ladder. Sammie let out a small scream. She heard the star shatter into pieces as it hit the ground. She braced herself so that she was ready to hit the floor but she never did. Casey caught her. Sammie breathed a sigh of relief as she clung to Casey’s t-shirt. She was pretty shaken up.

Casey let out a laugh and said, “Next time listen to me. I told you would fall. You’re so lucky your Prince Charming was here to save you,”

Sammie stuck out her tongue and said, “Shut up you goofball.” 

Strange Behaviour

Megan was James’ new girlfriend and today she met the boys. It was really late so the boys suggested that Megan stayed over at their place instead of going home. But James was not happy with the idea and said, “She doesn’t have to stay here if she doesn’t want to.” But finally, with much persuasion, he agreed.

Megan felt a little uncomfortable because of the way James acted so when they were alone in his bedroom she asked him, “James, why did you do that?”

“Why did I do what?” James said as he was changing his clothes.

“Why did you act that way when the boys asked you whether I could stay?” Megan asked.

“What are you talking about?” James said, “I was just not sure whether he meant you will be sleeping in my room.”

Megan felt like she was hit by a bomb.

“What? Did you think I was going to sleep in some other guys’ room?” she said with an upset tone.

James said, “No it’s just that-” but she cut him off by saying, “That what? You don’t want me here? You can just tell me you don’t want me here.”

James was angry now so he said, “Why are you being such a pest. Fine I don’t want you here. So?”

Megan was really hurt.

“Fine, you can have your whole room to yourself. I am going to sleep on the couch. And don’t try to stop me.” Megan said angrily.

“Wasn’t thinking about it,” he replied not even looking at her. He was too busy with his phone.

That was the last straw Megan couldn’t take it so she ran down to the living room and dropped herself on the couch and let her tears flow. At that point James was on top not regretting anything he said. He didn’t realize how much he had hurt her with his words.

The next morning Jake was the first one to wake up and when he went downstairs and found Megan sleeping on the couch he was shocked. He ran up to James’ room and banged on his door. A very sleepy James opened the door and asked,”What?”

“Why is Megan sleeping on the couch?” he asked.

“Because we got into a fight,” James said while yawning.

Jake was mortified, “your girlfriend spent the night on the couch and you didn’t try to stop her?” he asked.

“Listen,” James said, “It wasn’t my idea for het to stay here was it? I told her to go home but you’ll kept insisting she stay over.”

“SHE’S YOUR GIRLFRIEND GRAHAM. WHY ARE YOU TREATING HER LIKE SHES AN ANIMAL?” Jake screamed.

“BECAUSE I DON’T WANT HER AS A GIRLFRIEND ANYMORE. I FOUND SOMEONE BETTER.” James screamed back.

Jake looked at him with wide eyes and said, “What do you mean by you found someone else?”

James sighed, “I found another girl. She’s WAY better than Megan. She’s more beautiful, talented and also has a great body.”

Jake was about to say something when someone said, “So that’s why you’ve been acting strange.” It was Megan.

“That’s why you wont even look at me now. That’s where you’ve been when I asked you to spend the day with me. You were with another girl,” Megan was shattered, “You could have just told me you know. Told me that you didn’t have feelings for me anymore. I would have understood. I know I’m not perfect but I didn’t deserve what you’ve been putting me through these past few days.”

Jake stepped forward and comforted Megan while she finally said, “Goodbye James,” and she ran downstairs and out of the door in tears.

And just like that James let the best thing he ever had out of his life for good.

Junior

Mollie’s POV

I paced back and forth in my living room. The pressure was getting too much to handle. Jake would be home any minute from his camping trip with the boys. This could go in two ways. He could take the news really well or not so well. If he gets upset and breaks up with me I’ll have to leave, find a job and take care of myself and junior. Yes, there’s a junior. I’m pregnant and I haven’t told Jake yet. How am I going to tell him?

There was a knock on the door. Jake’s home. I let him in and he showers me with kisses. I try to keep a smile on my face.

“Is something wrong love?” Jake asked me.

“Nothing babe. Can we just cuddle? I missed you a lot,” I said.

We sit on the sofa cuddling while watching my all time favorite movie ‘Pitch Perfect’ but I couldn’t concentrate.

“Jake I need to tell you something. It’s important,” I said sitting up straight.

Jake became concerned, “What’s the matter Mollie? Did something happen?” he asked.

“I’m one month pregnant,” I said and when he heard this he started to tear up.

“Are you serious?” he asked.

I nodded and he hugged me and said, “You do not know how happy you’ve made me Mollie.”

I push him away and said, “You’re not upset?”

He wiped his tears and said, “How can I be upset when you’ve given me the best thing a man could ever ask for.”

*Eight Months Later*

Yesterday Catherine Sims was born and she is the most beautiful baby I have ever seen. The pain was agonizing but in the end it was worth it. Catherine was born healthy and with no complications. All the boys came to visit. Jake and I decided to make Charlie and his girlfriend the godparents of baby Catherine. Charlie was so happy he was in tears. Two months back Jake proposed on our fourth anniversary (since we’ve been together) and we’re getting married in six months. I hope six months is enough time to lose all my baby weight. Catherine gets to go home today. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us. I’ve always wanted a daughter and now I have her.

One Girl

*Natalie's POV*

21st May 2012, this was the best day of my life. This was the day I met my idol and now my best friend and crush, Chris Leonard. We've been friends ever since he bumped into me at a book store in Manchester. It was an unusual meeting but from then on we've been best of friends.

I'm great friends with the other guys and their girlfriends too. When Chris and I became friends he was dating a girl named, Stacey. When they broke up I thought I had my chance to tell him but he got another girlfriend named Sophie right before I could tell him anything. They have been together for almost six months now. She's a really great girl and so was Stacey but I wish Chris was mine. The only person who knows about my crush on Chris is Casey. He is like my big brother who I tell everything to. That's why he is the only one who knows about my crush on Chris. Whenever I want to cry about Chris, I go to Casey. He tells me that Chris also loves me but does not realize it. I find that hard to believe.

Today I was at the boys place (as always) but Chris was not there. He was spending the night at Sophie's. He promised me that he would spend the day with me at the carnival, but I guess he forgot. We were supposed to leave at 10 a.m. and it's already 12 noon. I was getting irritated. The other boys tried to keep me occupied so that I wouldn't think about it but it didn't work. I got up and was about to leave when Chris came home. He was crying. A LOT. When I saw him cry my anger vanished and I hugged Chris. I always hug him when he cries.

"What's wrong?" I asked him sympathetically.

"S-S-Sophie cheated o-o-on me with one of my f-f-friends," he said, crying more than before.

I was shocked. I never expected a girl like Sophia to cheat. Yes I wanted Chris, but I never like to see him hurt and she hurt him in the worst way possible.

"She doesn't know what she lost Chris. And she isn't worth the tears. You'll find a girl way better than her. That girl will love you more than anyone else would," I said.

Chris wiped his tears and said, "Actually I have loved this one particular girl for a very long time. She was the reason I broke up with Stacey. I was about to tell her how I feel when management decided I needed a new girlfriend and brought Sophie in the picture."

My heart broke. He loves another girl. I lost my chance again. I wanted to cry but I held back my tears. If I tell him how I feel it would be a selfish move.

"Oh! What's this girl's name? "I asked, expecting it to be some model or singer.

"Natalie," Chris said.

I looked up at him. Is this some kind of joke? This cannot be happening. Chris cannot love me.

"You love me?" I asked him with my waterworks starting.

"I have loved you since the day we met. If you don't feel the same way I can understand," he said.

I smiled and said, "I love you too."

Marriage??

Tom and Silke have been together for more than five years now. They moved to Manchester three years ago and got their own apartment.  Tom works as a athlete trainer and Silke because an English teacher in Manchester University.

Sometime back Silke found out that Tom did not believe in marriage.  He called it useless. This was bugging Silke because she came from a very religious family and if her parents came to know about this they wouldn't be happy. Silke didn't know how to explain this to Tom. He had a very strong will power.

Today she decided that she better talk to him about it. It was now or never. It was around 7 pm when Tom came home extremely happy. He had a pizza in his hand for dinner. Silke thought she would not get a better opportunity to talk to him.

"Tom, can we talk?" she said, her voice a bit shaky.

"What's up Silke?" he asked with worry in his eyes.

He thought that she was going to break up with him.

"You know how you told me you don't believe in marriage?" she said.

Tom nodded his head.

"Well that could be a problem. You see my family is VERY religious and if they find out you don't want to get married they are going to tell us to break up," Silke said.

Tom laughed and said, "Then we'll have to explain to them that we don't want to get married"

Silke stared at him. She never said that she didn't want to get married. She wanted to.

"Tom I want to get married," she bluntly stated.

Tom looked at her in shock.

"WHAT??" he said, "Since when did you want to get married?"

"Since forever. If you didn't know it's every girl's dream to get married to the love of her life one day," Silke stated with a matter-of-fact tone.

Tom's face was filled with guilt.

"Why didn't you say anything before?" he said.

Silke sighed, "I didn't know how to. You made it clear that you want nothing to do with marriage."

Tom took her hands in his and kissed it, "I can change my mind for you. If you want to get married we will.  I just want to see you happy."

And sure enough on 21st May 2020 they got married.

Valentine's Proposal

Ankede and Jake have been together for three years.  Today was Valentines Day and Jake wanted to do something extra special for Ankede because they'd been together for so long. He took her out on a date that day, but those details are not important. What's important is what happened after the date.

Jake and Ankede went home after their date. When she went into the kitchen to get a drink of water she saw a really big gift wrapped in red paper with hearts on them, on the counter addressed to her.

"Open it," Jake said with a big smile on his face from the doorway.

Ankede tore the wrapping paper and opened the box. She found another box inside wrapped up.  Again in that box was another smaller box. This continued till Ankede found a small, black, velvet box. She slowly opened the box. Her hands started to shake when she saw what was in it.

It was an engagement ring, and it was the most beautiful one she had ever seen in her life.

She looked at Jake who was now down on one knee in front of her.

"So waddya say babe.  Marry me?" Jake said biting his lower lip.

Ankede started to cry and nodded her head because she couldn't speak. Jake took the ring and slipped it on her finger.

"I love you future Mrs Sims," Jake said laughing.

"I love you too," Ankede said hugging him.

At the Zoo

Lauren was super excited cause she was going to the zoo with her family. She loved seeing the tigers there. When they reached she saw that there were a lot of people but it didn’t bother her. First thing she did when she entered was go see the tigers. While running she bumped into someone.

"Sorry," both of them said in unison.

When she looked up she saw a boy who looked really cute but it looked like he was with someone. He was with a girl who Lauren guessed was his girlfriend. Lauren said sorry again and was going to walk away but she tripped because she hurt her knee.

He noticed this and asked, "Wait, are you hurt?"

Lauren just nodded her head and was going to reply when his girlfriend said, "We don’t have time for her. Can we just leave from this stinky place?"

He got ticked off and said, "She’s hurt. Where are your manners? If you were to be hurt by somebody you would create a big issue wouldn’t you?”

When she heard this she became really mad and said, “HOW DARE YOU INSULT ME LIKE THIS. WE ARE OVER CHARLIE!!" and she stormed out.

Charlie said, "I’m so sorry about her," as he was helping her get off the ground, but Lauren just nodded.

He helped her get the dust off her clothes and then said, "Is it ok if I ask you for your name and number?" she just stared at him, smiled and gave him her number.

Charlie instantly sent her a message saying, ‘We should go out sometime’ and she replied ‘Sure.’

She couldn’t believe it she fell in love with Charlie at the zoo.

A Wish

*Molly's POV*

Charlie and I were down by a meadow having a picnic.  He's going on tour for a year and being his best friend I'm going to miss him. Since this is the longest we'll be away from each other we're trying to make the best of it. I looked at my watch to check the time.

"It's 11:11, time to make a wish" I told Charlie.

It's a tradition of ours. Whenever we're together we always make a wish at 11:11. I know it's kinda stupid but that's the way we roll. Both of us closed our eyes and made a wish. I wished that Charlie would be mine. I know. Falling in love with your best friend, only happens in books and movies. But that's what happened to me. I fell for Charlie and I fell hard. He's always on my mind 24x7. It gets frustrating sometime knowing that he may never like me more than a best friend.

 When I made my wish and opened my eyes I saw Charlie already looking at me. It was not unusual for Charlie to stare at me but whenever he did I felt butterflies in my stomach.

"What did you wish for?" I asked him.

"It's a secret," he said with a hint of sadness in his eyes.

Strange.  We usually tell each other what we wish for. Well, I technically lie to him because I always wish for the same thing, I want him, but I never tell him the truth. He always tells me what he wishes for though.  A new car, bigger gigs and stuff like that. So what's so special about today's wish?

"Please tell me Charlie or I won't tell you mine," I threatened.

He was always eager to know what I asked for so it was a good blackmail. Charlie sighed and said, “Well if you must know, I wished that the girl I love loves me too"

WHAT??? He loves someone. No.

"Oh!" I whispered “I hope you get your wish fulfilled."

"I hope so too. Say, can you help me practice?" He asked.

"Practice what? I asked confused.

"How I should tell the girl I love how I feel," Charlie said looking at his fingers.

Uh oh. This is not going to be good. I won't be able to take it.

"I don't know Charlie," I said.

"Please babe?” he looked at me with his puppy dog eyes.

I could never resist those eyes and he knows it.

"Fine," I said.

"Here goes" Charlie said, "Molly I love you. I have loved you forever. You are my best friend and my world. I don't only want you as my girlfriend but maybe in the future as my Mrs. So what do you say Molly, will you be mine?"

I was so mesmerized by his speech that I said, "Yes."

Oh my god where did that come from.

I panicked, “I'm so sorry Charlie I didn't mean-," but Charlie cut me off, "So you don't like me?"

Huh??

"Molly don't you get it. I love YOU" Charlie said and kissed me.

I pulled away and said, "You love me? I thought it was someone else."

"I love you Molly," Charlie said.

"I love you too Charlie."

Love Triangle

James’ POV

I have to tell Kaila I love her today. Barclay and Tom know I like her, a lot. They told me to tell her today when she came over. Now she is here and I’m so nervous. She looks so beautiful today. Well, she looks beautiful everyday. We were watching a movie. It was getting boring so Casey decided that we play truth or dare. Perfect opportunity for me to tell Kaila how I feel. Casey gave Reece a weird look and Reece smiled. It was like they were planning something. We all sit in a circle. Casey got an empty beer bottle and was the first one to spin it. It landed on Reece. Knowing Reece I thought he would choose dare, but he didn’t.

He chose truth. Casey told him, “Reece, tell Kaila how you feel about her.”

WHAT?? What does he mean by that?

Reece gets up and goes and sits in front of Kaila and holds her hands. “Kaila, I love you.”

Reece said. NO!! This can’t be happening. Reece can’t love Kaila. I do.

Reece continues to speak, “I have loved you since the day we met at the concert. You were so beautiful then and you are still beautiful now.”

I look at Kaila to read her expression. She has tears in her eyes. NO NO NO. She can’t love Reece. I love her. I get up and push Reece out of the way.

“WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’RE DOING??” he yells.

“YOU CAN’T LOVE HER. I LOVE HER” I scream back.

Everyone gasps. Kaila looks at Reece then at me and then back at Reece. I guess she was confused.

Then I felt Reece grab me by the collar, “IF YOU LOVED HER WHY DIDN’T YOU SAY ANYTHING SOONER?”

I took a deep breath and removed his hands from me and said, “I was going to tell her today but then you came in between.”

Kaila ran her hand through her hair.

“Kaila I have loved you for a very long time. Ask Tom. I have always loved you and never stop talking about you.” I said.

She looks at Tom and he nods.

Then Casey spoke up, “But Reece told me he loved you so I was helping him.”

Kaila sighed and said, “Look you guys are amazing but I love only one guy and I only told Chris.”

Reece and I looked at Chris thinking she was talking about him.

Chris raised his hands up and said, “NO NO it’s not me, its Reece.”

My heart broke in an instant.

“Is it true Kaila? You love me?” Reece asks.

Kaila nods her head and says, “I’m sorry James but I have loved Reece forever.”

Reece grabs Kaila and gives her a kiss. I can’t take this anymore.

“Hope you have a happy life,” I say before I walk out the door, ignoring everyone’s calls. I don’t think I’ll be going home anytime soon.

You're Beautiful

Charlie was out shopping in London with the rest of the boys. They had disguised themselves so that no fans would be able to recognize them and it was working. Charlie was talking to Jake about the weeks show when he bumped into a girl. Whatever she was holdin fell from her hands and onto the ground.

“I'm sorry,” Charlie said bending to pick up her bags.

“It’s my fault. I wasn’t paying attention to wear I was walking,” she said.

 As Charlie handed her bags to her he got a good look at her.

‘She’s beautiful,’ he thought.

When the girl saw Charlie she immediately covered her mouth and whispered, “Charlie?”

His cover was blown. He smiled and nodded and she said, “If it’s not too much to ask can I get a picture with you?”

“Sure thing love,” he said. She blushed when he called her ‘love.’

After taking a picture with the girl Charlie asked her, “What’s your name?”

She replied, “Kayleigh.”

“Well Kayleigh,” he said, “do you mind putting your number in my phone?” he handed his phone to her.

“Why?” Kayleigh asked, confused.

“So that I can call you and yo fix a date when we can meet next,” he said while showing his pearly whites.

“Meet me?” Kayleigh asked again.

“Yes, so that we can go on a date,” Charlie said.

Kayleigh couldn’t believe it and couldn’t day anything so she just nodded and punched her digits into his phone and gave it back to him.

“I’ll see you soon babe,” Charlie said as he ran to catch up with the boys. A few seconds later Kayleigh got a text saying, ‘You’re really beautiful by the way. Can’t wait to get to know you. Chaz xx’

First Kiss

*Miriam's POV*

"James Graham where are you taking me?" I asked my  boyfriend of three weeks who had blindfolded me and put me in his car.

"It's a surprise babe. You have to wait," James said.

When I heard this I groaned impatiently. "At least tell me how much more time till we reach there" I said.

James laughed and replied, "Fifteen minutes more"

I was never a very patient person and James was testing my patience. He made me get all dressed up today but wouldn't tell me where he was taking me.

After an agonizing fifteen minutes we reached. James grabbed my hand and slowly led ne out of the car because I had the blindfold on. We walked for about two minutes before I felt grass under my feet.

James let go of my hand and said, "I'm going to remove the blindfold now"

When he removed it I saw the most beautiful thing ever. James had set up a picnic with fairy lights and music.

"You like?" He asked.

"Like?  I love it," I said.

We walked towards the set up when I felt drops if water falling on my face.

"Um James, it's about to rain," I said.

James looked up at the sky and said, “Not now. Any time but not now," and at that moment it started to pour.

We ran and took shelter under a tree. James was very upset so I decided to cheer him up.

"Wanna dance?" I asked him while stepping out into the rain.

"Are you crazy?" He said "We'll catch a cold."

"So?" I asked him.

He shrugged his shoulders and walked into the rain with me. He grabbed my hand we started to dance. He was singing "Amazed" one of my favourite songs. I put my head on his chest and savored the moment. After a while James put his hand under my chin and brought my face up. I looked deeply into his eyes as he leaned in. We closed our eyes and kissed. This was our first dance and first kiss.

Best Song Ever

*Niamh's POV*

Being a geek in Styles High isn't easy especially when you are a video game geek. It's not my fault that I find the gaming world fascinating and would prefer to spend my time playing video games rather than anything else. I didn't have any friends because no one wanted to talk to me. I was a loner. An outcast.

I spent all my school life living in shadows. Now that day comes to an end. Just few more months and I will not be this way anymore.  But before that I have to tackle ONE hurdle.  SENIOR PROM.

It's every girl's dream.  But not mine. I didn't have a date till now and I wasn't expecting a proposal.

There is one guy I want to go with. James Graham.  But he'll never be my date. He is part of the popular crowd. Everyone in the popular crowd already have dates so I guess he does to. I mean, he is THE James Graham, how could he not have a date?

~1 week before prom~

Another Monday morning.  Boring old school, stupid subjects and irritating teachers. I had just taken out my books for third period from my locker when I saw him. James. He was walking towards me.  I must be dreaming. He must be going to the person next to me. He started getting closer and closer.  I start to freak out. I have never actually had a conversation with a boy before. This was going to be a first.

"Hey," he said, giving me a small smile.

I smiled back. I didn't know what to say.  I was about to walk away when I felt someone holding my arm. It was James.

"I wanted to talk to you Niamh," he nervously stated.

I can't believe he actually knows my name. I nod my head urging him to continue.

He took a deep breath and asked "Would you like to go to the prom with me?"

I was in shock.  Why did the popular jock want to go to prom with a geek like me? Is this some kind of joke?

"Are you s-serious?" I ask slightly stuttering.

He laughs and nods his head. I smile and say a small okay.

~Prom Night~

Tonight was the night. I put on my dress and did my make up. I was only praying that everything goes well. I don't want anyone to say anything about me today. At least not in front of James.

At 7 pm the doorbell rang. It was James.  He looked extremely dashing in his tux.

"You look beautiful," he said.

"You don't look to bad yourself," I say slightly blushing.

 At the school everything was going well. No one had insulted me like they normally do. But everything went down the drain when Jackson, another jock, spilled his drink on me. And I'm willing to bet that it was no accident.

"Oops. Sorry geek," Jackson snickered.

I was about to burst into tears. My night had been ruined.  I knew this night was too good to be true. I turned around to run away when James stopped me. For the first time I saw anger in his eyes. Usually was a happy person. Always jolly and trying to make others happy.

"Say sorry to the lady," James told Jackson.

"What if I don't?" Jackson said clutching his fists.

"Don't try to act too smart.  I know how to handle guys like you," James said furiously.

Jackson got a bit shaken up. He said a small sorry and walked away.

"Don't listen to him. He doesn't know what he is talking about," James said.

"You're Perfect" he says again and we danced all night to the best song ever.
